Short Changed

First jobs after school for minimum wage,

At clothes shops, which are all of the rage,

They work hard, on their feet, standing all day,

All part of wearing fashion, so it is okay,

They iron the garments and clean the store,

After closing they sweep and wash the floor,

Then the takings are counted from the cash till,

Fine, until a difference is noticed that will,

Mean the shop has been short changed, and so,

Those young hard workers with pay most low,

Are charged out of their earnings for the error,

Of another worker, or the new clothes wearer,

Buyers, don’t skirt the problem, you should shop,

Not just according to prices and what they stock,

But where they treat their workers fairly and right,

Easy power dressing for change without a fight.
