But Mother Knows Best

Child don’t run,

Get out of the sun,

Bathe every day,

To cry is okay,

That’s dangerous, no,

That’s sharp so,

Careful, leave alone,

Call me, phone,

Do not fight,

Only carry light,

It is time to sleep,

Don’t go too deep,

Wrap up, stay warm,

Get out of the storm,

You’re sick, rest,

Mother knows best,

A Mother’s rules to be obeyed,

Then Child goes, Mother stayed,

A soldier now, army made,

New rules are being played,

…and so the soldier disobeyed,

The Mother.
